The Odd Even option plans routes that respect odd-even traffic rules: during set hours, only vehicles whose plate number ends in an odd (or even) digit may use certain roads, depending on whether the date is odd or even. The optimization takes each vehicle’s plate type and the date into account.

How to use it

  1. Open Planning › Routing › Configuration and go to Optimization.
  2. Tick Odd Even (item 8 in the picture): Respect odd–even plate restrictions during these windows.
  3. Set the time windows when the rule applies. Two windows are filled in for you, 06:00 – 10:00 and 16:00 – 21:00. Change them to fit your needs; you can have up to two windows (Add window).
The change is saved as soon as you make it. 5. In the Vehicles table, set each vehicle’s Type: Odd, Even or Any, based on its plate number. 6. On the Visit page, pick the Date the routes will be driven. The date decides whether the day is odd or even. 7. Click Optimize. 8. Look at the planned routes in Result. Vehicles with a plate type show an Odd Even badge, and the summary lists the odd-even windows used.

Notes

  • The rule helps you plan routes that follow Jakarta’s odd-even road policy.
  • Odd-even restrictions are only applied to roads in the Jakarta province, Indonesia.
  • The setting is saved in the profile for future optimizations, and you can change it at any time.
  • Unticking Odd Even also clears its time windows.
