A widget is one tile on a dashboard. Each widget counts or averages tasks in a set way and draws the result as a number, a chart, a table, a map or a piece of text. You pick widgets from a catalog of ready-made ones; each comes with its own name and description and already works with your data.
Required permission:
  • View dashboard (to see widgets)
  • Edit dashboard (to add, rename or remove widgets)

Tables

A table widget lists one row per group, most first, with the count beside it. Tasks by Assignee, for example, shows each assignee’s email and how many tasks they had in the time range. The User Activity table has these columns:

Heat map

Task Location Heatmap
The heat map puts each done task on the map at the spot where it was finished. Zoom with + and − or the mouse wheel. Tasks with no coordinate are left out; when none in the range has one, the widget says No locations to map. With very many tasks the map shows a sample, marked Sampled, or only the densest spots, marked Densest cells.

Text and banner

A Free text widget holds a note, for example how to read the numbers or whom to call. A Banner spans the whole width, for a heading or a notice such as planned maintenance. Both show text you type, up to 2,000 characters, and run no query. See Editing a Dashboard to write the text.

Widget catalog

The Add dialog groups the widgets in eight categories. Widget names that say Flow count by task type.
