Dropped Visit - Docs

Dropped visits are visits the optimization could not put on any vehicle. In the List view, click Dropped under the vehicles to see them as Dropped visits (n). The result card also shows the count, for example Dropped 2/20, and the map shows dropped visits as red pins.

Dropped visits

Each dropped visit shows its tags, address, times, capacity and a Reason, for example Reason: No vehicle has the tag “frozen-xl”.

Why a visit is dropped

Reason	How to fix it
Wrong coordinate: the coordinate is out of range or badly written.	The latitude must be between -90 and 90 and the longitude between -180 and 180. Correct the coordinate.
Capacity: the visit needs more than any vehicle can carry.	Check the visit’s capacity and the vehicles’ capacity, and make sure at least one vehicle can carry it, or turn on Auto Split.
Time: the visit’s open time does not fit any vehicle’s working time.	Check the visit’s open and close times and the vehicles’ working times, and change one of them so they overlap.
Tags: no vehicle has all the tags the visit needs.	Give at least one vehicle the visit’s tags, or change the visit’s tags.

After fixing the data, optimize again. Or move the dropped visit to a suitable vehicle by hand with Move visit (see Editing).

Avoiding dropped visits

Check the coordinates: make sure every visit has a valid location (a green pin on the Visit page).
Balance capacity: match what the visits need with what the vehicles can carry.
Line up times: make sure the visits’ open times fit the vehicles’ working times.
Keep tags consistent: tag visits and vehicles the same way.
