# Currency

> Capture an amount of money in your organization's currency.

**Currency** captures a number shown and stored as money, in your organization's currency (set in [Organization](https://docsv4.mile.app/pages/settings/organization/introduction.md)).

**Use cases**

* **Price** agreed with the customer.
* **Cost** of materials used on a job.
* **Cash on delivery** amount collected.

## Properties

1. **Default Value**: an amount filled in for every new task.
2. **Visible**: when off, the field is hidden on the web and the field app; its value is still kept and exported.
3. **Required**: the task cannot be saved or finished until an amount is entered.
4. **Show As**: show the amount in the task list as the task's **Title**, **Content** or **Label**.

## On the field app

The field shows a number keypad with the currency code in front, for example **IDR**, and formats the amount as money. It can already be filled from task creation or from the Default Value.

For several items with prices and a total, use a [Bill](https://docsv4.mile.app/pages/workflow/flow/components/bill/introduction.md) instead.
