# Trash

> See what was deleted in the last 30 days, when, by whom, and the record as it was.

</div>

1. **Type**: show only one type of deleted item, or **All types**.
2. **Search by name**: find a deleted item by its name.
3. **View record**: open the deleted item as it was when it was deleted.

The note next to the search reads *Items shown below will be automatically deleted forever after 30 days.*

## View a deleted record

Click **View record** (the eye button) on a row.

<div align="center">
  <img src="https://mintcdn.com/mileappv4/Xul_B0hUk35UiMLk/images/v4/settings/trash-record.png?fit=max&auto=format&n=Xul_B0hUk35UiMLk&q=85&s=705f37bd4c6dece3791a323178307aaf" alt="Deleted record" width="600" data-path="images/v4/settings/trash-record.png" />
</div>

The dialog shows the record as it was when it was deleted, in JSON format. It's a structured view of every field the item had, so you can check exactly what was removed or copy values you still need. Click **Close** or the **×** to go back.

<Note>
  Trash is a read-only record. Deleted items cannot be restored from it. To bring something back, create it again, using the record as a reference.
